Introduction

This article will explain how multi-GDS search can be activated and how it works.

What is Office ID (PCC) Settings?

This functionality allows agencies to use multi-GDS content or to use content from two different Office IDs/PCCs at the same time. You can define the routing when a specific GDS or OfficeId/PCC will be called.

NOTE: Enabling OfficeID (PCC) Settings will override the default GDS setup that you have in Website settings.

Setup

In order to activate this option, you need to contact the Thomalex Support team. After it is activated, on the Admin page you will get an additional tab named Office ID (PCC) Settings:

When you click on it, you will see the Office ID that you are currently using on your website (Internet OID from website settings). If you want to add an additional Office ID or PCC from which you will get content, click on Create New Office ID (PCC) Setting:

When you click on it, you will see the form for adding of new Office ID or PCC:

The first option that you can use is to exclude routes. If you, for example, for OfficeID that you want to add have some special fares for specific routes, here you can exclude all routes except ones for which you have special fares. In that case, the system will pull the content from this Office ID only in case when traveler searches for specified routes.

If you specify a route the PCC/OfficeID that you set will be called only if that route condition is met.

This part of settings is not mandatory:

The next part is the most important part of this feature. Here you will specify GDS and Office ID:

In the table below you can find settings and explanations for them:

SettingExplanation
GDSFrom the drop-down list, you need to select GDS provider. This setting is mandatory.
Office ID (PCC)Here you will enter the Office ID or PCC which you want to add. This option is mandatory.
CurrencyYou can set the currency for Office ID that you are adding. This option is not mandatory. If you do not set any currency, the system will take the currency set in the website settings for the existing Office ID.
Agency EmailHere you can specify the agency email address on which the agency will get the confirmation emails when the reservation using this Office ID is created. This option is not mandatory. If you do not set any email address the system will use an agency email address that is set in the website settings.
Airline PreferencesHere you can include or exclude specific airlines. This setting is not mandatory.
Fare TypeHere you can specify which fare type you want to search using this Office ID.

NOTE: Before you add Office ID/PCC, be sure that your Office ID/PCC is added on Thomalex side so the connection can be established.

In the next part of the settings, PNR settings, you will set on which Q reservation created by using this Office ID will be placed. The normal and cancelation queue are mandatory. Also, you can set the ticketing time limit. If the ticketing time limit provided by the airline is less than the one that you set here, the ticketing time limit from the airline will be applied:

If you want to check if you are getting content from Office ID/PCC that you added there are two ways to do it.

If you will use two GDS, for example, Amadeus and Sabre, in the Air travel settings, you need to enable the option Display Air Provider Info:

When you perform a search you will able to see from which provider flights are coming:
