Introduction
Travel Group Settings present the starting point of display for editing any travel group.
Next to the overall general settings that will allow major changes to the way how results will be presented, there's also an ability to specify queue settings that will be independent of the primary website configuration and be only specific to the travel group you are editing.
In the following lines, we will explain each setting and give references on how you can manage PNR settings.
Travel Group Settings
Managing this page provides the basic travel component specifications for a Travel group.
It's important to understand that enabling or disabling settings from the travel group settings will be responsible for the way a great number of functionalities are displayed in the results.
Below lies the table that will have all settings named and their descriptions provided:
Setting Name | Description |
Require Justification | Specify whether the employee will have to provide justification in case of selecting an out-of-policy itinerary for business travel |
Display Profile Page To Employees | Specify whether to display the profile page to employees. If enabled, when employees are logged in they will be able to see and edit their profile. If not enabled, only the administrator can Edit their profiles. |
Disable automatic email notifications for newly created employees | When a new Employee Profile has been created, the E-mail notification will not be sent to them. |
Activate Air Search | Enabling this option will activate Air search for all travel group members. |
Activate Car Search | Activating this option will enable Car search for all travel group members. |
Activate Hotel Search | Hotel search will be enabled for all travel group members if this option is activated. |
Activate LowCost Carriers Search on Amadeus Light Ticketing | Specify whether to provide a Low-cost carrier content booking process to employees. First, LCC content must be activated in the website settings of the corporate website you are managing. |
Disable GDS Content | If this option is activated, no content from Global Distribution Systems will be provided in the search results. GDSs that are available in the Thomalex system are Amadeus and Sabre. |
Activate NDC Search | Enabling this option will allow Travel Group members to use NDC content. Note that just enabling this option in order to get NDC content won't be enough. All NDCs that you expect to appear in search results first need to be enabled in the Website Settings of the corporate website that you are managing. Only then you will be able to return to Travel Group Settings and enable this option to get NDC content. |
Activate Travel Boutique Search | Activating this option will enable Travel Boutique content for hotel searches of travel group members. Note that Travel Boutique needs to first be enabled in the Website Settings of the corporate website you are managing. |
Allow Traveler To Book Travel Partner | If this option is enabled, travelers and other travel group members will be allowed to book guests that are not members of the travel group. |
Enable Cost Center Budget | Specify if you want to enable Cost center budgeting. In order to have this option visible it first needs to be enabled by the members of the Thomalex support team. |
Disable Cost Center Changes in Shopping Cart | This option will allow the Administrators to disable the Cost Centers from showing in the Shopping Cart. This can be particularly useful if we want to have a default Cost Center assigned to a specific Employee and we do not want them to change it in the Shopping Cart and keep the assigned Budget. This option is only available for B2B (Corporate). |
Enable Customized Hyperlinks | Turning this option on will enable a kind of hyperlink text that will be displayed at the end of search results. Upon clicking on the hyperlinked text, the traveler will be redirected to the link. The hyperlinked text will be located right next to the mandatory "Agency Terms" hyperlink: ![]() This text will be displayed for the link below, and when clicking on the text, the traveler will be redirected to the link below. Customized Hyperlink Value - should be inserted in HTTP:// or HTTPS:// format |
Expand Custom Fields On Shopping Cart | If this option is enabled, custom fields related to an employee will be expanded, if not enabled they will be collapsed. |
Enable Additional Service | Activating this option will allow the additional service to appear next to the standard ones offered on the booking tool. An example of the usual booking tool with the additional service enabled would provide the following services: (Air, Car, Hotel + Additional Service) |
Hide User Logout Dropdown | If you enable this function, you won't be able to log out of the system. This function won't apply to the admin role and Travel Group Admins. |
Hide Header Menu | If you enable this function you won't be able to see the header menu. An example of the header menu: ![]() All options highlighted in the image above will be removed for all travel group members except travel group and website administrators. |
Hide Back Button | Enabling this option will hide the back button upon receiving search results for all travel group members. |
Disable Trip Name On Search Engine | Activating this option will remove the need to specify "Trip Name" on the booking tool before initiating a search request. |
Book Third-Party Type | Specify for non-GDS content, NDC, or any third-party bookings whether they need to be in the miscellaneous or Passive segment in GDS's PNR. |
Travel Group Name | This field allows you to set the Travel Group's name. |
Travel Group Currency | The set currency that will be used for search results of any travel group member. Note that setting currency at this option will overwrite the set currency in Website Settings. If left blank, it will use the value from Website Settings. |
Travel Group Language | Specify the language that will be used by all members of the travel group. Note that setting currency at this option will overwrite the set currency in Website Settings. If left blank, it will use the value from Website Settings. |
Internet OID | This field allows you to set the Office ID/PCC that will be used by the travel group. Note that setting currency at this option will overwrite the set currency in Website Settings. If left blank, it will use the value from Website Settings. |
Agency Email | It allows you to set the agency email that will be used only by the members of the travel group. |
Agency Code | Entering the Agency code or DK Number here will override the agency code from the website settings for this travel group. If left blank the one set on the website settings will be applied. |
PNR Settings | Although not mandatory, every travel group has a set of PNR settings that can be applied to be specific to the travel group you are managing. Setting values for PNR settings here will have independent values to the ones specified in the Website Settings. |
